I was scrolling over my Facebook feed, trying desperately not to feel like I was wasting time… I reeeeeealy was!!! I frankly have no idea what the protest was about, but I saw a familiar image of some guy yelling at another person and his face was full of righteous indignation… Feel free to interpret that as f***in’ anger, folks! There’s no mistaking the emotion on his face. The photographer caught the perfect moment when the subject had completely lost his mind and gave in to hate.
Amazing how well charcoal sticks capture emotions… the messy lines add movement and depth of field, lending the subject the impression that he is shaking with emotion. I have been using these odd compressed chalks that seem to be good for a little tinting. The effect is what I really like.
Do you dare share a guess at what he’s shouting?
