At this point, the brushstrokes and touches are quicker and more instinctive. I’m feeling there might be more to do, but that feeling changes when I step away and/or look at it in different lighting. Here are some of the questions I’m asking myself:

Do I add more colour to the shirt? Do I add another colour to the composition, possibly some red? Do I blur the dabbing of the background by passing a dry brush across the still-wet canvas? Do I intensify the outlines with Payne’s Grey? Do I leave it alone?

I’m also struggling with a sense of patience to finish this one… possibly because I’ve hung another canvas next to this one and have been starting the composition with the extra paint left on my pallet from this one.
