“Have you considered trying…?” This is my favourite question to ask and it only can be asked after I’ve listened to what you have to say.
For some, this question is hard to hear, much less answer, because it can make us feel we missed something we should have known. For others, it is the reason we engage in conversations and embark on the journey of open discourse, co-learning, and collaboration. When this question is bounced back at me, it motivates me to listen more openly. Different perspectives allow us to grow, especially when that growth allows us to rethink failed solutions from a different vantage point.
Being a UDL* inspired teacher has taught me to always be a co-learner with my students. Listening carefully for how they lack understanding of concepts gives me ammunition to build better tools for their success. This fuels my approach to consulting as well; your challenges become clear when I start understanding how you see them. I want to start there… a conversation of what you see, then together, we can move on to what you want & need. *Universal Design for Learning
TOMA = Top Of Mind Awareness and so much more. Over the years, T.O.M.A. has transformed well past marketing into the goal of developing sustainable legacies. In this world, where we are bombarded with hundreds of thousands of points of information daily, what stays on the top of our minds is remarkably fleeting; it requires one to risk making people question, to think, and to consider their values in engaging with us over purchasing another ephemeral product.
Together, we can build that conversation and invite your public to engage in it with us for years to come.
The first step is a conversation set for getting to know each other. It grows as my curiosity will bring out your storyteller while actively listening for your passions. This form of relationship is the most important key to success; it builds a sense of partnership based on a mutual understanding of your visions. So let’s roll up our sleeves and start the conversation.
