Did you ever try

To figure out why

Some things make you happy and sad

at the same time?

Like kids tumbling around

in fluffy, fresh snow.

Like the puffing out

of the engine on a toy train.

At some point,

both will smell bad.

Christmas muzak, cigars

and smelly old memoirs.
