In a rain of 80s new wave music – The Hollow Ones #39

Spotify has caught on that I’m nostalgically in love with New Wave music from the 1980s. I didn’t follow it as a teenager growing up then, but I didn’t follow my own tastes back then. Friends had way too much influence over what I experienced. Thank goodness I’ve fallen in love with my own likes. I’ve always liked all sorts of music and the tying factor is music that drags out any blues and frustration. My daughter always looks at me like I’m nuts when I tell her about bands like The Cure, The Smiths, and so many more that made me feel like the music rained an emotionally cleansing rain over my heart. I quickly feel like something is pulling me out of the rain into happiness.
