I think this scares me more than any other quote I’ve read so far. Mostly because I’m not sure what I’m showing my daughter. I know what I tell her, but am I living those words? Not entirely. Well, at least not in every area of my life. If I need motivation to live a better life, then inspiring her to live a good life is my focus. Everyone says she does do a lot of things like me, so I can see how I am influences her.
I’m choosing to take this as a reminder to pause before acting or reacting. I can ask myself how will she see this reaction? What am I teaching her here? What am I teaching anyone watching in the actions I take? Finally, what do I want to be remembered for being?
