Inheriting Halloween decorations,
boxes of memories from Halloweens past,
brimming with tales of terror and delight,
echoing the screams of frightened children
and the giggles of giddy trick-or-treaters.
Each item a relic of cherished nights,
ghosts and goblins frozen in time,
capturing the skeletal visages
that once prowled the streets on All Hallows’ Eve.
Their expressions still strike fear in the heart,
the jagged smiles and glowing eyes,
evoking the shivers and screams
of those who stumbled upon them in the dark.
But beneath the fright, there’s a sense of joy,
the laughter of those who revelled in the fear,
the thrill of being spooked and scared,
and the knowledge that it was all just make-believe.
So let us embrace these haunted relics,
these treasures of Halloween lore,
and remember the scares and delights
that have made this holiday a timeless delight.
