How my heart swells with pride
And my soul overflows with amazement
For my fearless child, so young and so brave
Who embraced danger with open arms
I remember that day at the reptile zoo
When she stood before the pythons
Five slithering serpents, coiled and ready
Their eyes fixed on my child, fearless and steady
I wondered for her safety, for her fears
But she stood there, unafraid, unyielding
And as the zookeeper draped them over her
My heart raced, my pride welling in my throat
Then my child, genuinely laughed and smiled
As they wrapped themselves around her
And in that moment, I saw pure joy
Radiating from her, like a beacon in the dark
Brightly she shone, my amazing child
With a courage beyond her years
And as I watched her closely, I knew
That nothing could ever dim her light
She was fearless, she was strong
Her love and joy knew no bounds
And in her, I found a kind of inspiration
That words can never truly express.
