The photographer’s eye, ever seeking
The elusive and the ephemeral,
Chasing the perfect shot,
The moment of perfect lighting,
The engaging texture that draws us in.
Through lens and aperture,
Framing and focus,
The artist captures what he sees,
A moment in time, frozen forever.
But the pursuit is never-ending,
A Sisyphean task,
The shot that was perfect yesterday,
Is just another failed attempt today.
The light changes, the scene shifts,
The texture morphs and evolves,
The photographer chases after,
A vision that’s always just out of reach.
And yet, he persists,
In the face of near-certain hopelessness,
Offering up the most unique composition,
In the ever-fleeting present.
Hoping that his viewers will understand,
The fleeting beauty he has captured,
And appreciate the vision he has seen,
Through the lens of his camera.
