In Montreal, where the architecture sings

with voices echoing through time,

there are buildings of concrete lines,

of curves and angles, of majestic design.

Built in eras challenging the fine line

between form and function, they stand,

testaments to the cleverness and beauty

of those minds who crafted them.

Their simple grace and tremendous presence

are a testament to the skill of their makers,

to their unyielding commitment to craft,

to their unrelenting pursuit of excellence.

And though they were built to serve a purpose,

to house the dreams and desires of their day,

they were also meant to last,

to stand until will and wealth bequeath new purpose to them.

They are evermore than just buildings,

more than just bricks and mortar and steel,

they are souls in a city,

the embodiment of its dreams and ideals.

And as they stand, tall and proud,

they remind us of all that we can be,

of the power of creativity and vision,

of the magic that can be wrought when form and function are one.
