In the selfie, we freeze a moment,

Capturing a glimpse of ourselves,

But it’s more than just an image,

It’s a snapshot our psyche.

Each pixel a reflection of our souls,

The lighting, the angle, the omissions,

All woven together to create a tapestry,

A visual feast of self-awareness.

But as we stare, we begin to unravel,

Decomposing into fragments of ourselves,

The flaws and imperfections magnified,

A raw and unfiltered version of our being.

The facade we wear in public melts away,

Leaving only the rawness of our true selves,

And in that moment, we confront our truth,

Our vulnerabilities and fears laid bare.

It’s a painful process, this self-examination,

But through it, we grow and evolve,

The selfie becoming a projection of our being,

An authentication of the journey of self-expression.
