A purposeful reflection,

captured in the then-ness of my mind,

as I pondered the uncertainty of my identity,

in relation to a question of self-awareness.

Who was I, really?

At that moment in my life experience,

I found myself asking the question,

as I searched for visual meaning and purpose.

Was my identity something fixed,

or did it shift and change with time?

Can I the same person I was yesterday,

or am I someone new today?

In that moment of reflection,

I sought to define myself,

to understand my strengths and weaknesses,

and to embrace my truest reflection.

But as I continue to contemplate this question,

I find that the answer remains beautifully elusive,

shifting and changing with each passing thought,

as I continue to experience.

So I embrace this blissful uncertainty,

this mystery of my own identity,

knowing that the journey is the destination,

and that self-awareness is a never-ending quest.
