A cement planter stands still,

Stained by long ago use,

By seasons of sun and ice,

A witness to the changing times.

Radiating heat and serenity,

It sits on the landscaped riverside,

Watching waves, birds, and people,

As they enjoy the beautiful day on the river.

Through the years, it has seen much,

The ebb and flow of life,

From the highs to the lows,

And everything in between.

Right now, stoic and steadfast,

A symbol of resilience and strength,

A testimonial for the passage of time,

And the beauty that it delivers.

Stop and pause for a moment,

To sit with this cement planter,

And contemplate its message,

to embrace the simple, unused beauty of life.
