In Montreal’s Old Port, Silo #5 stands tall,

A sentinel of days gone by, majestic and austere,

Its industrial bones bear witness to a time,

When commerce and trade were the city’s lifeline.

Yet now it sits, silent and still,

A monument to progress, but also to will,

Of those who sought to preserve its grace,

And transform it into a cultural space.

Its concrete walls now echo with sound,

Of music and art that bring people around,

To experience the past in a new light,

And marvel at the beauty of its sight.

For Silo #5 is not just a relic of old,

But a beacon of hope for the stories untold,

Of a city that’s grown and thrived through the years,

And continues to shine despite its fears.

So let us cherish this building of stone,

And make it a place that we can call home,

For art, for culture, for all to see,

The beauty that lies in history.
