Oh Montreal, my Montreal,
What shall we do with this great big bowl?
Our Olympic Stadium, so vast and wide,
Has sat empty for far too long a time.
Some say it’s cursed, a white elephant,
A monument to our extravagance and neglect.
But I say nay, we can make it shine,
With imagination and a bit of time.
We could turn it into a great big mall,
With shops and restaurants and a movie hall.
Or maybe a museum, filled with art,
A cultural centre that would warm the heart.
Or why not a park, with greenery and light,
A place to walk and play and take in the sight.
We could build a fountain, a great big one,
And have concerts there under the sun.
Whatever we choose, let’s make it grand,
A symbol of our city and our land.
For Montreal is not just bricks and stone,
It’s the people, the spirit, the heart and soul.
So let’s embrace this challenge with open arms,
And show the world our city’s charms.
For the possibilities are endless, my friend,
Let’s make the most of it, until the very end.
