Part 7 – Where Happiness comes from

Originally called Walking in Hell, these were made shortly after my divorce was finalized and I initially thought they were expressions of pain and regret. After a while, I realized those thoughts were my desire to have people feel sorry for me, and that didn’t jibe with what I felt while painting them. What I felt was a strong joy, a release, a freedom, and happiness. I toyed with changing the titles to Dancing in hell, and decided to keep the feeling of dancing… thus, Happiness.
