Part 7 – Where Happiness comes from

Originally called Walking in Hell, these were made shortly after my divorce was finalized and I initially thought they were expressions of pain and regret. After a while, I realized those thoughts were my desire to have people feel sorry for me, and that didn’t jibe with what I felt while painting them. What I felt was a strong joy, a release, a freedom, and happiness. I toyed with changing the titles to Dancing in hell, and decided to keep the feeling of dancing… thus, Happiness.

You can preview the whole series at Arts MPerron

By the way, these paintings are also available as prints on my site and look great on t-shirts, mugs, and would make seriously unique and awesome shower curtains. Take a browse on my website and see.
