Coquette Determined

Just stretching out of my comfort zone a little more each day. This dreamy lady is determined to stare back at anyone brave enough to admire her. It’s not clear if she likes it, dislikes it, or is challenging the looker to be brave and talk to her.

I used coloured charcoal and conte, but I’m not sure I like the conte. The dreamy lighting wasn’t one of my editing effects, it was simply taking the picture in natural sunlight. The sunlight pulled highlights I hadn’t fully seen under the artificial lighting of m y studio. I think I’ll need to draw more often in the sunlight and see what happens.
