Building An Idea – Cubists, Paisley Head

I had to stop and think a little about where this bean shaped face came from. I feel that I’ve drawn paisley shapes in faces for as far back as I can remember. this one seems to incorporate certain cubist ideas. I wanted to go past the odd Seussian hair and the idea for the hand extending up behind the head felt right.
