Thank you, Miranda. I’m very attracted to textures and frequently intend to emulate natural firing results in the electric kiln… it’s fun to explore the possibilities. I’ve been fascinated by Wabi Sabi for a long time and making things without always knowing what the result might be, is one of the greatest gifts I give myself. My disapointments are far less intense and my happy surprizes are so much greater.

That does sound like a wonderful way to work. It must be so interesting trying different things and being surprised. These textures remind me of tree bark and lichen.
