For those of you old enough to remember them, you will also remember why Frankie Goes To Hollywood was a common guilty pleasure. They were on my daily mix from Spotify today and I started remembering one of their live shows back in the 80s… Lavish light shows full of pastel & neon lasers; sound volumes to match The Who; AND everyone dancing very close together in ecstasy (before me and my friends ever heard of the drug). The music got us there… well, that and maybe the fact that people still smoked indoors and the auditorium was generally one big hot box experience.

Thanks to Spotify, I’ve been gleefully revisiting the 80s and rediscovering forgotten memories. Funny how they often revolve around songs like this.
