I am but a humble troubadour,

With stories to tell and songs to pour,

Into the hearts of those who hear,

My voice, my words, my fears, my cheer.

Leonard Cohen is my name,

A poet, a singer, a soul in flame,

I’ve lived and loved, I’ve hurt and healed,

Through words and music, I’ve revealed.

My voice is gravelly, my tone is low,

But my lyrics are deep, and my melodies flow,

I sing of love, of loss, of hope and despair,

Of beauty, of darkness, of life’s unanswered prayer.

I’ve traveled far and wide,

I’ve seen the world, and felt its tide,

But no matter where I roam,

My heart is always home.

For in my songs, in every line,

I find a refuge, a place to shine,

A sanctuary, a sacred space,

Where I can be me, in all my grace.

So here I am, Leonard Cohen,

A man with stories, a heart that’s broken,

But through my words, through my song,

I find a way to carry on.
