The revenue insecurity of being a teacher in Quebec has me reflecting upon why I love to teach… Is it related exclusively to an age group? Is it a specific subject? Is it even the desire to share knowledge? NOPE! To all of these! It’s always been about seeing the world through the eyes of others. I’ve expressed my teaching philosophy is predicated on being a co-learner (learning with my pupils and interactively growing a greater mutual understanding of the concepts before us… IE: a different perspective). This reflection brought me back to what I enjoyed most about doing consulting work and writing for and with others. I brought me back to looking at my company, TOMA Marketing in a whole new light.
Furthermore, interviewing with people across the globe this past year showed me that we do have amazing technologies that allow us to see and touch people almost as effectively as being in person. So, in one of my commonly sleepless nights, where my brain wouldn’t shut up, I let it start reimagining TOMA… and I decided to relaunch it on as T.O.M.A. – For Your Values and Vision
Please visit it and let me know what you think, because different perspectives are the motivation for why I do that side of my life…
