“The best decisions aren’t made with your mind, but with your instinct.” By Lionel Messi

This has to apply to yourself only! The self-doubt and ego conflicts come when you are going up against someone else’s visions. In consulting this is a constant challenge. The client has a certain vision of what they want. They may or may not be able to communicate it. Remember that when they can’t you are adding your perspective-experience to your advice; it may not fit into what they really want. In these cases where your instinct is telling you something is off, it is, but that doesn’t mean what’s right for you is also right for your client. Let go, listen harder, and communicate.

When this is about yourself, your gut or heart knows best. That first feeling, wherever it comes from, is usually the strongest and is entirely based on what you know up to that point in time. That is the truth for you at that moment. When you deny your truth, it gets replaced with a lie. Your doubt creates that lie. The key is to become mindful of that first and strongest thought-feeling.
