Building An Idea – The Lurking Fear

Ok, so I completely stole this from the cover of an H.P. Lovecraft paperback. The creepy character is actually referred to in the book as “the lurking fear”. I’m not jazzed about drawing with a 2b pencil, but maybe it’s more because of the paper colour. There’s far less contrast on blue paper. I’m not sure what it looks like to you, but I feel I’m giving the ending of the story away in the way I drew this face… Spoiler alert: It’s part white ape.
