I’m continuing to think out loud here… please feel free to chime in…
As you know, I’ve been considering the branding of my artwork and other creative projects. Arts MPerron doesn’t feel like it covers my past creative explorations, much less all the new projects I’ve got underway.
MPerron Creations feels like it encompasses the paintings, drawings, sculpture, & photography. With my recent obsession toward using reclaimed and found materials in my work; incorporating classic design principles into the meanings of my structures; my passion for restoring old furniture (previously under ‘Found’-The Repurposed Design Company); and a new fascination for creating hand-made art tools (stay-tuned… there coming soon), I feel it’s time to set a better branding message that defines who I am as an artist.
The blue & orange are reflective of the joy and calm I feel while making my creations. They also follow some of the basic design aesthetics that have been inspiring me: bright, clear fields of colour that enhance the design and the use of contrasting, complementary colours. The font feels like that of a master caligrapher’s touch… the human hand is always there in the perfect lines.
I haven’t yet been able to think of a more meaningful word than “Multimedia” to describe my dedication to exploring different media. Maybe if I change the byline from “Multimedia Arts & Design Co.” to “Aesthetic Explorations Through Arts & Design”.
What do you think?
