So, this is where I’m stopping on this one, pending the class critique (constructive feedback) this week. I may simply abandon it and move on to the next project… mainly because I am taking mental notes on the process and really dislike continuing past my gut instinct of end points.
I’m not hearing a loud gut-voice on this one, so I’m not sure it’s done yet… we shall see.
I’ve added the highlighting with titanium white and a fan-brush… watering it down to allow me to build up layers… while doing it I was reflecting on the question of confidence… do I have more confidence using oils? I think I might, because I use more paint on my brushes when using oils. With acrylics, I feel I can build up and overpaint mistakes more easily. Hmmm… I’ll have to test this theory out this semester…
Stay tuned!
