All the buildings you see here seem to be currently abandoned and there are no for rent signs on them. We’ve seen a lot of this during Covid; sometimes there are for sale signs, sometimes nothing. It’s like the area is waiting for something new to happen. The day I took this, I was with my daughter and telling her about all the things I remember being in these buildings: specialty shops, studios, thrift stores, etc…Now they are empty, but the day still felt full of hope. maybe it’s the reflection of the clouds on the windows of parked cars, the vibrant blue sky, or the green of the mountain in the distance. I don’t know, but it feels like something new is coming and the buildings feel like they are excitedly waiting for it.
