While drawing this one, I felt the subject was curious about what might be ahead of it… an optimism regarding its future. Maybe even just curious about its feeling for the music playing in the background. Now some time later after drawing it, an odd memory came to mind in the following words… Topo Gigio… Could my subconscious have conjured up some Italian fable from my childhood. I just don’t know, because I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen an image of this grey mouse from Italy. It makes me very curious about how memory filters into expression.
