I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to post this one. Every time I listen for the story it tells me, I remember something I read about Andy Goldsworthy’s process… well, almost every photographer’s process, really. Take tons of shots! Make tones of compositions! Sometimes the best shots appear when we are not fully conscious… they may be something recognized by our unconscious mind first. Trust your instinct and shoot away.

When I started looking at this one closely, I was unable to view the whole image at once. My eyes wanted to move up it, and then back down it. I’m not sure what I’m looking for, but it feels a little voyeuristic. Kind of what it feels like when we realize we just ogled someone we find very attractive. Read what you want into it, but for me, it’s the slight discomfort against arousal that made me decide to post this one.
