The Baby Banana Leaf Bursts Forth

We moved out banana plant into a much larger pot and had to put it on the ground. This allows us the view from the top you see here. We see a new leaf slowly emerge and unfurl about once a month, but I have never noticed how the light goes through it, not how many different hues of green it has. I’m not sure if you can see it, but there is an almost invisible yellow edge to the leaf… a banana yellow! It’s such a beautiful plant to have in the house! We might have to plant it in the ground to ever get bananas from it, but we can dream and enjoy its slow and very visible growings.
