Warped Two – The first applications of paint

I’m enjoying the messy brushstrokes here. They give the structure tension and movement. The more I follow this documentation of the steps, the clearer my vision becomes for how the end result might be. Not only am I seeing how the successive layers of colour will deepen the structures, I also feel how the light and shadow will play to achieve dimensionality.

I don’t know how clearly the shadows show in this first picture, but they will become much clearer soon. Please stay tuned for more…
