I’ve added some yellows, deepened the blacks, touched up spots with whites, and lined in some outlines… am I satisfied? No. I can’t decide what to add or if I’ve already gone too far. I’be been staring at this composition in one form to another for over three m months now and I am frankly bored of it. I think it’s just time to move on.
The goal feel accomplished, more or less. I distorted the original still life through colours, compositions, perspectives, and shadow behaviours. I have no doubt there could be more play with this, but I just need to more to something different.

Ps: the next challenges will force me to confront another level of introspection as it demands the practice of portraiture… starting with self-portraits. YIKES! I must say this terrifies me to no end! it’s all about growth, right? Stay tuned!

Thank you, Laura Kate. I’m not sure if it’s bravery or just a stronger willingness to learn by doing.
