The brush ripped across the snare drum and tickles the high hat cymbal with a fierce determination…

Threatening the coming storm of sound that is Miles’ horn.

The dipping of the brush on brass required a response… it required the use of a pallet knife!

Thick with paint, scraped tortuously across the canvas, threatening to rip through, but not quite…

RESTRAINT IS THE KEY!

Then comes the tickle…

almost an unwanted tickle = a deviation from the blue…

A dusty rose perhaps…

Delivered rapidly with a smaller knife…

There’s a storm coming and it’s getting dark…
