Oddly, the simple stacking of the the colour blocks feels right behind the face, but they still distract from the lines of the face. Only the face needs to be done with. a thicker ink nib. do love the long, wavy necks and the tilting of the head on the side. I feel this is the most expressive my faces get. The thick, black eyes are very intense and emotive. I feel I need to push this design further in the next series of explorations…
