My practice during this isolation has been to wake up every morning, look out the window and exclaim (in my head) gratitude for some aspect of what I see. Mostly, it’s ‘thank you’s for the sunshine, amazing coloured skies, or the peace of windblown trees. On this morning the sun was especially amazing. It cast glorious shadows all over the house and I couldn’t resist catching some of them. I have a big window over my entryway door and the house faces North-East, so the morning sun always grabs the chandelier and plants on top of the cabinet I have in the foyer. What you see here is the light painting cast across the tall wall. The cactus is a whimsical as the shadow and it looks to me like people standing around with silly hairdos.
