When I check the clock and watch the damn hours fly,
I see another day just fade into the night;
The old trees stand there, waving their last goodbye,
As summer’s fire gets swallowed out of sight.

I watch my flowers lose their fresh-faced glow,
Their colours crash and fade like yesterday’s trends;
I see my younger years pack up and go,
While Father Time just laughs and never bends.

Then I look at you, still chasing that bright spark,
Wondering if you’ll let your best years disappear;
’Cause time rolls in like some unstoppable shark,
And steals your shine while you’re busy staying here.

Nothing can beat that bastard time in the end—
Except what you create, what you leave, what you send.
