“You will never always be motivated, so you must learn to be disciplined.” From www.awakening-intuition.com
I can’t argue with this at all! I am most definitely not always motivated. A few weeks ago I finally felt the importance of setting goals and keeping busy doing, instead of thinking. Whenever I am disciplined to get a goal accomplished, it just feels awesome! I feel like I’m progressing. Recently, I’ve embraced the practice of setting smaller, incremental goals to an end goal. The discipline to accomplish each step is self-fulfilling. I’m fuelled by each new accomplishment, and/or learning challenge of failure and problem solving, and motivated by a desire to get to the next step.
Discipline becomes much easier in smaller bites. Keep your plan of attack in small incremental steps. Don’t worry about the total progress at the start. As you progress, you self-esteem grows, your confidence grows too. You will organically be getting faster and better. For some, the discipline might be in keeping faith in the plan of attack. Trust you will get there and you will.
I need a goal to be disciplined.

I believe most of us do. At least, having a goal sets us up for growth and action.
