I had a few minutes before supper (to procrastinate from doing my research paper) and wanted to get the white out of this composition. I felt it was blocking some crucial decision I needed to make… I filled in some unbleached titanium as an undertone for the skin and started to see a little more clearly how and where to add volume. The arms and legs need a lot of play. I’ve been trying to achieve things with less on-canvas blending and fewer brushstrokes… I haven’t found my happy medium, yet.

The bathing suit on the male figure is still in question… I feel it should be vertical stripes…

I again made the same error of choosing the wrong music… because I was feeling rushed! I am also playing with the idea of keeping the female figure’s bathing suit white and letting the surrounding colours reflect off it…

Stay tuned…
