I think these would be ideal to put your rings in at the end of the day, or when you are washing your hands.
The bowls are pinche-pots, the bases are hand-built. I used a stoneware clay body and fired to Cone 6 in an electric kiln. The glaze is mainly a version of a variegated celadon, with some crystalline blue dripped around the edges.
When I’m in full production, I end up with loads of scrap pieces of slabs. I don’t like re-wedging the clay, so I let my imagination run and make all sorts of small pieces. Some, I experiment on with glazes or finishes. Some, like these, surprize me with how simply beautiful the ceramics can be when we release expectations.
Dimensions: There are 3 of them… each is about 3″ tall and the bowls vary between 2″ to 2.5″ wide. The bases are between 1″ to 1.5″ wide.
Available to own: $25 each (plus shipping and handling)
