“If you want to be happy, you have to be happy on purpose. When you wake up, you can’t just wait and see what kind of day you’ll have. You have to decide what kind of day you’ll have.” By Unknown
Deep down, and in my head, I know that everything we do, we must chose to do on purpose. When it comes to emotions, in this case being happy, that is the purpose. To be happy on purpose, you must decide to be happy. My mind just wrote out the greatest, circular run-on sentence about this, but it comes down to making a decision.
Many of us on these growth journeys have an understanding of the benefits of setting goals in order to get things done. In business it is paramount to do so as part of any business plan. Whatever example or area of life you look at, it seems imperative to know where you are going, so you can aim yourself in that direction. Humans must start going with a destination in mind.
So, how does this apply to all the thoughts on just being? I’m not sure, yet. Just being has been a struggle for me, but doing with a purpose, a goal, a destination, has always been more fulfilling. Maybe this is what I need. Start with an intention and make it my destination as well. I intend to have a happy day and feel happy with my day when I go to bed. What have I got to lose? Make your purpose each day being what you want (eg. happy) and you have one less thing to think or worry about. Just be it. Ah, Ha! That’s how it applies to just being!
