Using a handmade marking brush: made from a maple branch, jute twine, and dried dragon lily stems (the brush part). The brittle stems of the brush hairs become more subtle in the India-Ink and allow for more variation in line thickness and gesture.

I wanted to give you the movement and found I was staring at my own foot while contemplating what to draw. As I twirled my foot I saw the movement in it and felt the need to attempt a gesture drawing. This is the result.
