I had no idea this was possible. I’ve been hearing about carbon capture systems (air scrapers) and how they aim to push the captured carbon (CO2, CO) back underground or into the sea. I never fully understood how that was a good thing or a good place to put what I was always told was pollution.
This is a whole new level of smart! Reuse the carbons produced by our dependency on fossil fuels! It also cuts our need to use more fossil fuels.
The article is a great start, and we as consumers need to still ask the hard questions of the manufacturers: what other chemicals will be released into the ecosystem when using this product (eg. phosphates)? How can you make this to minimize water use as well? Will you commit to using only cellulose plastics (plant based) in your packaging?
