I grew up in an era where seeing animals in the circus (no matter the size of the travelling show) was expected. I never noticed or perhaps understood what was wrong with animals performing all the time. I saw them for a few minutes and that was the only thing I saw.
I started changing when my parents brought me to small zoos and I asked why the animals were so slow and sad looking. My parents had no answer to that back then.
Over the last decades I’ve become aware of how cruel removing animals from their habitats for our Entertainement really is.
Today, I still learn of every impact our abuse of animals can have on a global scale.
I’m not telling anyone what to do or eat, but only ask that you consider what your actions have when multiplied by entire populations!
Let’s leave our fellow earthlings where Mother Nature intended them to be.
