While this is a view of a field densely covered with foliage, it reminded me of the fly-over views of jungles we can see in those amazing BBC nature series. There always seems to be a few trees that rise high above the canopy and sparkle in the sun. I saw this with my naked eye, but lost it when I looked at the photo, before editing. The sun’s movement across the infinite green hues filled the space with dynamic movement and life. I felt I needed to stop the green to capture a still shot of the vision I had of a canopy view. Removing the colour, toning down the contrast, elevating exposure and vibrance, decreasing definition while sharpening the image seemed to do the trick.
