I think the lesson to learn here is observing what’s already available in nature to work with the climate crisis.
In Kimmerer’s amazing book “Braiding Sweetgrass”, I learned a much deeper appreciation for how Mother Nature teaches us. She gives us all we need to make all our food and shelter needs get met. We need only observe how she does it in nature.
The example here is one of multi-culture farming. Placing mutually beneficial plants together to handle issues of drought/flood, pests, and fertilizer. Monoculture will always rely on chemical solutions, and the plants and pests always adapt to them.
Plants adapt.
Plants also cooperate with each other.
