Every now and then we are reminded of our privilege when we visit a local pet store and see all the beautiful parrots in their cages. I see expressions of fear and sadness on their faces, and while I would love to have one of these gorgeous and intelligent creatures; seeing their faces reinforces my belief that we are not meant to keep them in captivity.
The orange jumps in front of the blue-green background and the shape of the body looks like a beak, as well… I wonder if anyone else would see the body as the pink space, instead of the orange… I know how I drew it, but I don’t see it exclusively as how I envisioned it.
