I have no apology for this one. I am still an innocent soul open to learning and understanding. It is my positive response to all the amazing discussions and information my fellow art students are sharing with me. I may still be the old white guy in the room, but I’m more and more open to the experiences of others. We live in a great big beautiful and diverse world!

This image is my current (as it will grow and evolve over time) personification of inclusive gender identification. Partly embracing all gender symbols and signs, while blurring them enough to rebuke identification. Rebuke in the sense that they choose to not accept the limitations of classification. They have chosen their identifying pronouns to be: “They & Them”.

I used willow charcoal and coloured chalks as there need not be overly strong outlines to limit the way they feel inside.
