I found myself absentmindedly looking through abstractions of birds and they were just sinking into my unconscious library, or so I thought. I feel I have a whole bunch of these odd avians running (yes, not flying) around my brain and they need to be set free… some already flew my cranial-coop last year, there are more to come…
The positioning of this bird right in the centre just felt right. It wants to be seen and paid attention to. It might even be changing the colours of its face feathers to better stand out against this surreally coloured landscape. I think the more I draw theses childlike visions of animals, the closer I get to the pure expression of joy I get in making art.
What does this bird say to you?
More to come…
