There are so many reasons I love Spring and they all have to do with the surprises that pop out after the snow melts. I get excited and impatient to see it all! I’ve almost always focused on the small wildflowers hiding under all this dead stuff, but this time I looked closely at the dead stuff. Endless patterns mixed in with a randomness of subtle colours. Everywhere I look I see what life left behind and marvel at the abstract beauty of Mother Nature’s assemblage. Stare in with me and see the warm reds, yellows, browns, and golds. Scan around the composition and you will see cool, contrasting greens and blues as well. All superimposed upon a super variety of sepias and greyscales.
